Overloaded is an interactive digital narrative (IDN) where users step into the shoes of a student navigating the challenges of social life, mental health, academics, and finances. Designed in Figma, the experience unfolds over the course of a week in the student’s life, presenting realistic dilemmas and consequences based on the player’s choices. The goal was to create an engaging yet thought-provoking experience that highlights the pressures faced by students today.

Welcome to this interactive digital narrative called “Overloaded”. You will step into a week in the life of Max. Here, you see the struggles students face in their daily lives. From balancing your studies, mental health, social life and finances. The interactor is invited to live these struggles and try to get through the week without overloading.
Will you go out with friends or prepare your lecture? Are you going to work to earn some much-needed money or have lunch with your parents? The internal dilemma that students do not share so much can be experienced in this IDN. This shows how hard it is to balance life as a student. Maybe this will get adults thinking about how to reshape this hard to balance student environment? For now, enjoy the struggle and do not get overloaded!
